I’m not sure I can give them the satisfactory answer they might be looking for. I don’t have a resume for my heritage. I don’t go to church every Sunday and I never really attached myself to the youth group at my church or joined the dance team that performs every summer at the Mahrajan. I took arabic reading/writing classes for five years and I’m still remedial at best...

I think that the reason no one has been able to take over the world just yet is because a) life is not a cartoon series from the ’90s, and b) as hard as we all try to stay conscious of worldly problems and stuff like war, illiteracy, government spending, disease, statistics, reality television and leaked files— inevitably, whenever that may be, we find our most impassioned emotions...
